I'd argue this is already done. We include the common Redis:

puppet-pulpcore/manifests/database.pp

Line 32 in 696e8f9

include redis

Then we configure Pulp to use a specific database:

puppet-pulpcore/templates/settings.py.erb

Line 19 in 696e8f9

REDIS_DB = 3

It should become configurable though.
