syntax highlighting working in vi but not in theia

It was working very well in my environment. In early April I updated theia and now it doesn't do syntax highlighting any more. Syntax highlighting works in vi. Does it use the same language server. I am running a fresh Ubuntu with nginx php-fpm on it.

I also have @theia/php running in a docker container with ubuntu. It is showing the same behaviour there.

Not sure where to start debugging this.

@rhildred Same issue facing here too. php syntax are not highlighting yet. @akosyakov Any idea ? do you have any fix for the issue?

Should be fixed by eclipse-theia/theia#5297
