Steps to reproduce

  1. Look at App Icon in Laubcher (Poin is shown)
  2. Open App
  3. Inboxes are empty

Expected behavior

If the inboxes are empty the Point should not schow up.

Actual behavior

The Point shos up even if the Inboxes are empty

The dot on the app icon is an indicator that the app has an active notification. Thunderbird can display many kinds of notifications, i.e. not only for for new messages. Check your notification drawer to see what the notification is about.

Thanks, but if I delete the notifications the Point still shows up.
An the notifications shown but the inboxes are empty (all messages are read).

This is something Android does, not the app. You can configure whether a notification in a notification category should cause the dot to be displayed on the app icon. On my Android version this setting can be reached via App info → Notifications → [Category] → Show notification dot.

If you dismissed all notifications of an app, but the notification dot is still showing, this sounds like a bug to me. Try contacting your device vendor.
