[funny idea] would it be possible to export pc speaker tracks to ipod .tone files?

the files are fairly simple in structure from what i can tell:

Title (always the first line)
Frequency (Hz) [space] Time (ms)
repeat line 2 to infinity

e.g.

Scale
262 400
294 400
330 400
349 400
392 400
440 400
494 400
523 400

(this example is a scale from C4 to C5)
i'm not sure if these files have any more capabilities because i haven't been able to find any docs on them
