In Gnome 3.20 : In a tiled or floating window pressing Super+Arrow freezes that window. Have to kill the process or restart the Gnome-shell fixes the issue.

I was able to reproduce in vertical/horizontal mode as follows:

  • Open a terminal.
  • Make sure it is tiled: Super t
  • Untile the window: Super y
  • Use GNOME's built-in placement: Super Left
  • Try using the terminal: it is totally frozen.
  • To unfreeze, tile the window again with Super t

The same holds for tiled windows, then one has to untile it to unfreeze:

  • Open a terminal
  • Make sure it is tiled: Super t
  • Use GNOME's built-in placement: Super Left
  • Try using the terminal: it is totally frozen
  • To unfreeze, untile the window with Super y

So I'm not able to use Super Arrow in vertical/horizontal mode at all.

Also, I'd like to add that the same happens when trying to use GNOME's maximize window (I have it in Alt F10).
