We need a claim as @olios pointed out correctly.

I would suggest and vote for "TinCubETH - the second best thing to protect your privacy on Ethereum"

the best thing you can do for your privacy is to run a fullnode (which is not really feasible e.g. on mobile)

Well ⅔ rd less words and we have the claim
Use keywords

  • node?
  • “the second best thing … ” position as a challenger this is not what users need to know.

“Your privacy protected on ethereum”
Shorter would be better to be easy to remember aka “just do it”

“Safest privacy on ethereum”
??
Brainstorming the claim!

I am not confident to create a proper claim because I don’t know exactly what the product is and for who?

thanks for the suggestions - but I strongly signal against

“Your privacy protected on ethereum”
“Safest privacy on ethereum”

as both are wrong
the safest is the fullnode not tincubeth
and as security privacy is a process not a product (loosely quoting schneier here: https://www.schneier.com/essays/archives/2000/04/the_process_of_secur.html )

I strongly signal we do not make claims like this. I rather like claims like the one from @QubesOS

A reasonably secure operating system

perhaps the following if we need less words:

TinCubETH - reasonable privacy on Ethereum

but still like the original idea with "The second best thing" - but not sure how to get this with so little words ..

More secure OS

Another way would be emphasize a tone of voice as well
Fun serious irony or other…

Tincubeth
Reasonably secure (on ethereum)
The last 2 words aren’t really necessary
It depends of the target group.
Obviously this solution is already addressed to people familiar with ethereum.
And the brandname got already “eth” in its name which is a strong indicator.

“Safeth Privacy”
(Playing with the words can be a good solution as we create a word we can then define the whole new definition
Combination of safe and eth:
You clearly not say it is safest or less, neither second, but you induce the meaning of function and object.

“ Safeth “

still to bold of a claim for my taste. But not a "over my dead body" anymore like the 2 before.
perhaps we should do a vote on this.

also not really correct - as what TinCubETH is doing solves only a part of the privacy problem. You still need to protect your privacy on chain - but this is out of scope for TinCubETH

really leaning towards:

TinCubETH - reasonable privacy for Ethereum

currently

Shortening to may be:
“Reasonable privacy” ?
Because brandname include the abréviation of “eth”

works for me

but would still love ideas on how to (with few words) let users know that this is only part of the solution and they still need to care for their on-chain privacy

= Reasonable privacy
