Can't strip away multiple lines with .*

As per patch #64, I want to be able to split multiple lines at once, in order to ignore whole blocks of text.

I should be able to only read the word count between one function, block, or whatever, but this doesn't seem to be possible with the current implementation. Something like strip, but opposite, where you can set "start-bound" and "end-bound" for each language should be a great solution. This way I can set my LaTeX settings to be bounded by \\begin{problem} and \\end{problem}.
Being able to swap between current block and total sum by a shortcut (or both, if show-both:true is set) would make this even better.

The reason I want this is because my school assignment is bounded to 600 words maximum, but my document includes information such as headers, questions, etc.
