thaixfonts is a collection of Thai bitmap fonts available under free licenses.
It aims to collect fonts for installation convenience, and maintain them as
needed. This is because most fonts are aged, unmaintained, and now even
unavailable in the original sources.
INSTALLATION
You can use the BDF fonts as is, or install them to the system in compressed
PCF format, using the normal GNU build process:
$ ./configure [options]
$ make
$ make install
You can specify the target install directory with the --with-fontdir=<DIR>
option. The default value is the usual location for misc fonts in X.
Try './configure --help' to see the full list of available options.
TOOLS
You can use any BDF font editor to edit the fonts, for example:
- gbdfed - http://sofia.nmsu.edu/~mleisher/Software/gbdfed/
- bdfedit - https://hea-www.harvard.edu/~fine/Tech/bdfedit.html
