It would be nice to have an option to set a due time in addition to due date.
This would help scheduling the day better and possibly extend apps with a reminder option.

My opinion is that if some task is dependent on the hour of the day, a different tool should be used (e.g. Outlook's calendar or the Thunderbird Lightning add-on). Todo.txt's scope is more for longer-term rough planning, the what (important stuff) to do, not when exactly. The due date already is a non-core (but famous) syntax extension as a nod towards coarse scheduling needs. At least in my view, incorporating fine-grained time scheduling would be difficult to integrate with the various clients.
