look into creating TrackerInfo from tracker geometry information in EventSetup
incorporate LayerNumberConverter into CMSSW
remove the need to #define USE_MATRIPLEX in CMSSW
address warning: ignoring #pragma omp simd warnings caused by #include "mkFit/SteeringParams.h"
remove remaining writes to global variables
- mkfit::MkBuilderWrapper::populate()
- mkfit::ConfigWrapper::initializeForCMSSW()
- mkfit::ConfigWrapper::setNTotalLayers()
