Incorporate Ctrl key or alt key to mouse event handler

I see this in the src code that exports

ctrlKey and altKey can they be incorporated somehow to click event handler?

chart.subscribe click(function(e){
If(e.shiftKey){console.log('shift key was pressed')}
else{console.log('shift key was not pressed'}
})

The above did not register the shift key despite clicking shift key
