I should be able to quit the program on CLI with a command #1660

Proposal

Sure, CTRL-D will quit the program, but it is nice to have a command like quit or exit that closes the CLI.

Background

Following the discussion here #1511, It seems this is a common pitfall for those used to exiting CLI the conventional way.
