Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I use traggo for my time tracking. It is great to be able to specify the different work areas (tags), but I'm missing a way to track the total time spent a day/week.

Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to see an option for each dashboard entry, to optionally show the total time tracked for an interval. E.g.:

This may be useful for your specific use-case but traggo allows having multiple timespans active at the same time. A total in this case wouldn't make sense as you could get >24h day totals. Let's wait for feedback from other users.

Totally agree, a way to get the total time tracked by day or by tag would be much appreciated

I would also love a way to get 'total by day'. My use case is I need to fill in a timesheet with total hours worked per day, regardless of tag.

(But I do understand the issue with allowing multiple tags to be active at once, though personally, I see that feature as the edge case, and the 'single tag active at once' as the primary way users use this system)

+1 here.

It might be possible to have >24h per day, but that is then something that the user wanted, as they had multiple active time lines, and will see this in their calendar.

Something else i would add, but this might be the wrong place: Totals are 1d = 24h. But for reporting purposes, it would be awesome if i could say 1d = 8h, as this would greatly simplify my reporting to customers.

I've been using Traggo for 2 months and it has been an invaluable tool in my workflow. Thank you @jmattheis for sharing it with the OSS community.

I track all of my professional work, broken down by clients. A dashboard breaks the hours down daily, weekly and monthly. Having a total displayed for every interval is my top missing feature (second feature is that I have to use a Web UI to interact with Traggo; I am thinking of writing a CLI similar to Watson or timetrace for Traggo when I get a chance).

Like others have mentioned, I believe that the span overlap scenario doesn't happen for most Traggo users. I would bet that the overwhelming majority have non-overlapping spans. For those that do, they would most likely not display the total in their dashboard for that reason.

@jmattheis would it also be possible to display the total of day in the calendar view?

Yeah, should be possible to implement. Please open a new ticket for this, so not everyone in this issue is notified.
