For instance Chapter 3: Mobile Combustion (PDF link) of the “2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories”. This was shared by @dominic-sheldon in the 2024-04-15 Data Group call.

For just a few examples, these should include:

  • Code list from Table 3.1.1 (p.3.8) “Detailed sector split for the transport sector”
    • with hierarchical codes like id=1 A 3 b i 1, name="Passenger cars with 3-way catalysts", description="Emissions from passenger car vehicles with 3-way catalysts."
  • Concept scheme including the many concepts listed in the body text.
    • with section/page reference for the first usage of each.
  • Data set (with associated data structure and data flow definitions) from Table 3.2.1 (p.3.16) “Road transport default CO₂ emission factors and uncertainty ranges”
    • including code lists and measure concepts appearing the table.
    • or, instead convert the referenced source “Table 1.4 in the Introduction chapter of the Energy Volume”
  • etc.

Data sets

There is also an "Emission Factors Database" maintained here: https://www.ipcc-nggip.iges.or.jp/EFDB/find_ef.php?ipcc_code=1.A.3&ipcc_level=2
