Using keyboard for controls doesn't work as expected

When I try to use my keyboard to precisely edit something, it doesn't work how I expect. For example, when I click on the volume slider, then try to use the arrow keys to move it up and down a single notch, it does work, but it also seeks the song at the same time. The song progress slider has a similar but more minor issue, where if you focus on it then press/hold the arrow keys, it moves twice, once a small amount due to the arrow keys and once a larger amount due to the seek.
