Good critical comment about this type of map, from Londoner

The problem with this map is that it's trying to do two things simultaneously - nearest pub to each station, and cheapest pub near each station - and therefore isn't really accomplishing either. It's also calibrated to the cheapest pint, which is also misleading as it means comparing absolute dreck like Bud Light against actual ales. So it's interesting but not particularly helpful. What would be more useful would be a map showing the cheapest pint of real ale within a five minute walk from the station.
