You need to remove the # symbol from the beginning of the lines that you modified in order for them to be read. |

Thank you for your very quick reply and your recommendation. I followed your recommendation and i am able to login. Great. But i would like to store the "data" on a NAS. Maybe there is someone who has an idea why the "data" directory cannot be moved to a SMB share. |

I have found an alternative way to install an SMB. It is also possible to install Webmin via the bash script |

I am trying to have Paperless-ngx use an SMB share for its media and data directories.
I managed to install
cifs-utils
and editedfstab
so that the share I am trying to direct to is mounted when the LXC starts as:/mnt/documents/
In
/mnt/documents/
there are now 2 subdirectories,data
andmedia
.The part of my
/opt/paperless/paperless.conf
that I changed looks like this:After restarting the LXC, consumed documents continue to go to
/opt/paperless/media/documents/originals/
and/opt/paperless/media/documents/archive/
.The log files that I have been able to find have been unhelpful.
Any idea what I'm missing?
