Proposed Solution

Step Functions + AWS CodeBuild

  • automatically trigger for changes of mainline branch
  • pipeline itself update
  • cross accounts for stages
  • manual approval for prod stage

CDK pipeline depends on AWS CodePipeline which is not available in China regions. Switching to Step Functions + AWS CodeBuild.
