Alt-text dismiss on videos is broken

Detailed description

Tapping to dismiss the player / alt text on videos is currently broken. Try:

Steps to reproduce the problem

• Bring up any above post.
• Start the video.
• Wait until the alt text dismisses on its own.
• Tap the screen once. (Expected, and also observed, behavior: alt text reappears)
• Tap the screen once. (Expected behavior: alt text disappears. Observed behavior: Nothing happens)

This used to work when we first added media3.

Asking for testers I got successful repros from 3 users

These two users observed (and I reproduce) you can still get the hide effect if you tap the deadzone to either side of the play controls, but this is not good enough.

This user saw a second broken effect, but I could not reproduce it.

Debug information

I reproduced on both Tusky 27.0 and 27.1. I test on Android 13 on a Sony XPeria 5 III ("61.2.A.472A release-keys"). My instance is mastodon.social.
