Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Sometimes it would be easier to create one paths that fits multiple devices (e.g. when using OneDrive)

Support teh sue of environment variables like %USERNAME% in paths.

None

Additional context
#352 implements this for Python / REPL languages
