No Connection to Device an other Subnet

Hello,
I have my air conditioning in a different subnet.
Nothing is found with the search button (not even when I enter the IP or try the broadcast address)

With the dicovery tool I find the attachment but during authentication I get "An unknown error occurred"

I had the same problem, also with https://github.com/reneklootwijk/node-mideahvac on which this Node Red contribution is based. My guess is that Midea changed something in the authorisation when switching from mSmartHome to just SmartHome App.
Since my WiFi stick lost the connection practically every day anyway, I decided to rebuild the described interface, which does not require authorisation. It costs less than €10 and works well.
From time to time I get an "Invalid response" from the device, but it still works as desired.
Does anyone know if there is a way to activate debug messages?
