@anayram was able to build a SAF from our csv exports for Atmire and import to the DSpace sandbox http://198.168.187.81:4000/collections/26d0ab44-5222-43e4-b261-245d818b0877. Here's an item's full metadata http://198.168.187.81:4000/items/8a31eb93-ef84-42cb-827a-2289dde51d48/full

There are other SAF builders. We also can generate this format using tools we build.

The outcome we're looking for is

  • work with @ualbertalib/metadata-team
  • evaluate existing options
    • ease of use
    • consistent with our desired mapping of metadata
    • identify gaps
    • results in DSpace ingest we're satisfied with (metadata & bitstreams)
  • build some ERA collection-based samples that are ready to ingest in https://ualberta-dev.scholaris.ca/home

Here is a sample SAF package created with DSpace Lab's SAF Builder based on exports created for Atmire.

One constraint we have is era-app-prd-4 doesn't have Java, Git or Maven installed.

https://github.com/lib-uoguelph-ca/dspace-csv-archive - python based.

We've got SAFBuilder working on era-app-prd-4. Current work on mitigating assumption of unique filenames in a collection.
