I'm currently exploring the utilization of Underworld2 for simulating melting processes, encompassing melt generation and migration. While I've come across a melting example in UWGeodynamics documentation, which influences the viscosity and density of the swarm, I haven't been able to locate any resources implementing a similar Darcy melt model, akin to the two-phase system described by McKenzie (1984). Additionally, I've noticed that Sim et al. (2020) discuss calculations that can be implemented in Underworld2, but it based on the TerraFERMA implementation here, raising uncertainties regarding compatibility and feasibility within Underworld2.
I'd appreciate any insights or resources regarding existing examples or code for implementing a Darcy melt model in Underworld2. Furthermore, I'm keen to understand the potential avenues and considerations for undertaking such an implementation within the Underworld2 framework.

Can Underworld2 modeling the melt-related process?
May I ask how to use Underworld2 modeling the melt-related process?

Hi
The melt functionality doesn't include porous flow. You have to assume that the melt stays in the source. The only melt transport that may occur is through diapirism.
