Running a script provided by the AppImage Kdenlive version 18.04.1 yields:
$ ./Editing\ 19_001.sh
/tmp/.mount_b9pvvV/usr/bin/kdenlive_render: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.9' not found (required by /tmp/.mount_b9pvvV/usr/bin/kdenlive_render)
I don't know how to fix this, maybe the AppImage Kdenlive binary is being run with some LD_PRELOADs?
The appimage is basically a separate container. Things in userland can't run inside of it, unless they're initiated from inside the container itself.
I messed around with generating a script, then adding the contents of the multirender script to it. When I ran it from kdenlive, it said "waiting" forever, and never ran. I'm not hip to the debug logging etc., of kdenlive, so I didn't explore further. YMMV
