Have become utterly frustrated - keep getting kicked out of my account on crowdmap with the following message: "success": false, "status": 500, "error": You must target an API version.", followed by timestamp, qcount and elapsed... This happens after being able to add reports, categories, etc. Often, a function stops working before that error message, i.e. the select color function stopped then I got kicked out. And the photo upload never worked. This last attempt to use the site I received a new message: modules/auth/libraries/drivers/Auth/ORM.php [222]: I have now spent six hours working (including uploading new browsers - issue is the same on Safari, Foxfire, and GoogleChrome) on this for a project for a doctoral project and am on the verge of telling colleagues it can't be made to work. Need immediate, one-to-one assistance.

I'm sorry you're frustrated. However, I need more information to work with so I can debug the problem. We've heard reports of this issue from a few users but haven't been able to reproduce it yet to determine the cause.

  • Are you using Classic Crowdmap exclusively, or switching between Classic and New?
  • What is the URI of the deployment you are working with?
  • What is your primary web browser, and what version of it are you running? Which operating system version?
  • Are you behind any sort of firewall or traffic shaping hardware or software? (This is common in universities and corporate environments.)
  • Are you using a VPN, or SSH tunneling?

If you're more comfortable sharing this information over email, you can reach me directly at evan@ushahidi.com. We'll get you sorted out.

Thank you very much, Evan. I'll respond later today (I am in Ohio, USA, Eastern time zone. Where are you?) FYI, my timeline is that I will have to drop the project if I can't get resolution by the end of the evening Sunday as I am traveling Mon-Wed and we need this Thursday a.m. I appreciate your quick response and offer of assistance.

Best,
Kathy

I started with the new version and it made little sense to me - couldn't maneuver or get back to previous screens easily, i.e. to where I could invite people into the deployment. So, my deployment was set up fresh on Classic and this program is well suited to our purposes. Could be that the issue is that the same email address is associated with both versions? I would like to delete the files in the new version in addition to everything else. Those deployments are both called Ashridge Up Close.

What is the URI of the deployment you are working with?
ashridgeviews@crowdmap.com
What is your primary web browser, and what version of it are you running? Which operating system version?
Safari 6.0.5 (8363.301). I'm not sure what the difference is between the version and the operating system version… I've also tried to get in via Firefox and GoogleChrome. Get the same results.
Are you behind any sort of firewall or traffic shaping hardware?
Firewall has been off. I don't know how to determine if I have traffic shaping hardware - where would I look?

Hi @kmskerritt, were you and @evansims able to sort out your issues?

No. After his email I sent answers to his question and have not heard further . While we have had to cancel using the program for the doctoral program I still would like to resolve this to try to use it again.

I'm afraid I still haven't had any luck reproducing this issue. I'm continuing to investigate. In the meantime I am transitioning this bug to the Crowdmap repo, as it's a infrastructure issue and isn't a platform bug.

OK, I get it. What should be doing in terms of follow through?
