Opening .parquet.gz

Hi, I am trying to open a .parquet.gz but get an error of
OSError: Cannot open file.parquet.gz nobody knows how to read it.

is there a way to tell it to use the parquet reader?

Actually: simply renaming it to .parquet works fine. Leaving this as a reference for future Q&A searchers.
