An optimal order of aggregation steps is to filter first and sort only the restricted amount of results.
There are two possibilities;

Generate an optimal solution from the beginning
Fix aggregation steps at the end and reorder them to use optimal order

$sort(x) + $match(y) + $sort(x) => $match(y) + $sort(x)
