Steps to reproduce

  1. Mark all DMs as read
  2. Navigate to the Home tab
  3. Receive a DM from another account

Outcome

What did you expect?

The tab bar badge to show a 1 for the new message

What happened instead?

The tab bar badge isn't updated until you switch tabs (doesn't matter which one)
