What would you like to do?

Make the avatar/name useful and have it link to the users own profie/settings.

Why would you like to do it?

To match user expectations.

I don't think we should no. This action (tap on avatar/name/MXiD) not be as discoverable as a way to get to settings. It might also be that in the near future settings change so tapping that area takes you to a dedicated screen in settings about your profile, or switch profile.

Someone might be looking for settings that they don't think have anything to do with their account, so I'd prefer to keep both.
