Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a chat
  2. Record a voice message (e.g. by swiping up on the microphone icon, speaking for ~1 minute, then pressing the send button)

This issue is particularly annoying because it's not fun to record a 2 minute voice message, then have to re-record everything again.

I will try to send a log the next time this happens.

I have not noticed anything unusual in my Synapse logs. Even if this was a Synapse problem, the client should notify me and/or retry sending.

Outcome

What did you expect?

I expect the voice message to be sent.

What happened instead?

Around 10% of the time, recording is completed, but the voice message is never sent. It is effectively deleted, never appearing in the conversation.
