Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to a room while the app is syncing
  2. Try to load scrollback
  3. Have no feedback that it’s trying to load scrollback as you can’t see the loading spinner
  4. Feel disoriented

Outcome

What did you expect?

to be told when the app is stuck trying to loading scrollback

What happened instead?

no feedback, so you don’t know if it’s even trying.
