Steps to reproduce

  1. Mention a user
  2. That user changes their avatar or display name

Outcome

What did you expect?

Pill updates (at least after leaving and reloading the room) since:

  • it can feel weird to tap a pill that opens a profile that seems different.
  • it is not the same behaviour as Android and Web

What happened instead?

Pill doesn't change, even after clear cache, because it's state is build from the room state corresponding to the event
