useChat / Define which tools take "maxToolRoundtrips" into account

Hey there,

I'm wondering if I can define which tools should use the "maxToolRoundtrips" setting to generate messages based on the previous tool invocation's response. I currently have two tools, one of which should generate another message based on the response, but the other one should not (rendering a UI element with the toolInvocation result).

Right now, I can only set maxToolRoundtrips to 5, where both tools will create another assistant message. In reality, one tool is fine with rendering a custom UI with the invocation result and should not get back to the server. Is that somehow possible/distinguishable?

@rbluethl did you end up finding a solution for this? I have a very similar problem as yours

@manan30 I went into a different direction, resulting in not needing this exact functionality at this point. Nevertheless it's not supported right now as far as I understood.
