When using no (‘Null’) filename encryption, available through expert configuration mode, .encfs6.xml is displayed as a file in the mounted volume, and can even be deleted. Attempting to access the file gives gibberish, or causes an I/O error if MAC verification is enabled.

Vaguely related to #101 in that both relate to encfs being blind to the special nature of .encfs6.xml.

As an addendum: this is particularly problematic when attempting to use encfsctl export which returns a MAC comparison failure and crashes.

A workaround is to store the .encfs6.xml file outside of the encrypted directory.
