Add self-test on model reload with backwards compatibility concerns.

With #19, self-test on start up was introduced to the system.
However, there is no such check when the model files are reloaded.

The check on model file reload should ensure that there isn't a breaking interface change from a model change, and that the model should successfully test with the same testing strategy.
