Smart IP43 Charger is not properly integrated in GX and Victrons Node-Red.
There are multiple issues with that device.

First of all, because of design(that is just fine as is), which makes it visible in Bluetooth and GX if AC-Input is provided only.
That in turn on my "island system"-environment leads to very rare usage(in winter only and only if batteries must be charged on very low level). So to use IP43 I want to start the generator.

The main trouble:

  • If turned on(AC/Generator input) the IP43 is not visible in GX and on VRM-Portal uness GX device is rebooted.
This is most critical part for me, because I want to get data and be able to react remotelly if something is wrong. E.g. IP43s do not charge from generator, or charging with to low current, so it does not make sense to run generator.
    • Note: IP43 is visible in Connect-App via Bluetooth only if generator is on, which is not usable remotelly.

Missing features:

  • Ip43 device is an AC input-device, but is not integrated as those in GX and VRM Portal
  • IP43 is in Node-Red unavailable, there is no node available at all
That is critical as well, becuase I can not stop generator automatically, if charge-current drops to inifficient value for generator.

Device info:

  • Phoenix Smart IP43 24/25 120-240 (1+1)
  • Firmware: v3.50
  • Product-ID: 0xA352
