Does your player support multiple DVB-subtitles (binary images with timestamps as defined in the ETSI EN 300 743 standard) http://www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_en/300700_300799/300743/01.03.01_60/en_300743v010301p.pdf?

If not, could this be added in future releases? Or any guidelines for developers how to add this feature?

this is not supported. it would be a bit awkward to use that with HLS ? you'd better use standard HLS subtitle/caption format, such as WebVTT or CEA608.

Unfortunately, support for DVB subtitles according to above standard is essential to our project. We cannot change that, putting it shortly. We have similar need that is describe here:

google/ExoPlayer#179

But I also noticed that you have researched this before:

mangui/flashls#147

So as I understand, if one wants to do this, way to go is to looking this documentation:

https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg/blob/master/libavcodec/dvbsubdec.c
