Sorry, I don't know how to crreate pull requests..
I forked your repo and added a script, few lines to the plugin and instructions on how to get this plugin to work on linux/ubuntu.

It uses pico2wave which is not as good as 'say' on mac, but the output is understandable never the less.

Hi, I did the same, but currently using mpv and the GoogleTTS hack to convert the text to speech. Also, I added some support for special characters so that it will speak some of the syntax of the file being read as well as the text.
