two numbers right above actions/settings/about #138
Comments
Hello, could you post a picture of these two numbers showing up ? I've never seen them on KDE and XFCE (it may be specific to Gnome). When you suggest a table per definition, you mean a tab with an application tab per software type (Snap, Flatpak, ..) ? I'm currently working with the overall style. I'm going to consider what you commented about the grey icon. |
https://i.imgur.com/XN4yBxi.jpg with numbers To see (a list of) all the apps of all categories and all types I have to put a number in ->settings->interface->"applications displayed" equal or greater than the total of my apps installed. For this I have to know/estimate the total of all my apps. Otherwise my apps are never completely listed. Same when filtering with type or category. This is not very handy/useful/practical. To see everything all types all categories incl apps I have to put 1312. Listing/displaying is fast enough after refresh on my system. No worries. Please use symbols/icons with a red cross or similar where actions/options/possibilities are not available. I often clicked on these and was astonished why nothing happened. |
I'm not able to open the picture links. Could you post them again ? Related to the second topic, set the Max Displayed to 0. It means no limit. I'm going to update the README and the property tip. |
Alright.. now I got it. These two numbers (10/100) mean the number of applications currently displayed on the table by the number of applications available. I'm going to add a tip to them explaining their meaning. This behavior of not displaying them is odd. It has never happened to me before. Try launching bauh through the command line ( |
Available on 0.9.9. I'm going to close this issue |
I use bauh 0.9.8 on Arch Linux x86_64 Kernel: 5.8.13-arch1-1 GNOME 3.36.6.
There are two numbers right above actions/settings/about. They appear only after fresh start of bauh. A refresh or clicking on Apps makes them disappearing. What do these numbers reflect/mean? Why do they appear only on fresh start of bauh? What does the second number mean? Is the total of all apps plus libraries etc.? Please add a description(hovering) for these numbers.
Why not more tables with applications displayed as per definition interface with tabs?
Please change the color for the icon/symbol "This action is unavailable". It's not enough greyed out.
