I have noticed that there is a significant delay between source and destination when trying to cast a local icecast(lie) stream.
The latency is in the order of 30 seconds.
So perhaps if there is a way to pass a flag to the program ( say -l --live) perhaps minimize internal buffering, and setting the cast flag to live (or notes on how to pass the Live Flag from the source)
This could also be useful when using ffmpeg directly to stream
I have also tried mkchromecast which has ~8s latency, but ius too cumbersome to run as a background process and is unreliable as a background task
