Does vite support build --watch mode (defaulted to development mode)? If not, any plans to support?

Similar to...

Snowpack (build --watch mode FredKSchott/snowpack#782) &
Vue-Cli (Add a watch mode vuejs/vue-cli#1317)

vite build --watch --hmr like snowpack (FredKSchott/snowpack#1002) would be the ultimate...
