I am on Nightly build 2024-08-05. After a few commands, when I am typing on a new command, the keyboard stops responding. The system detects my keyboard as PS/2. (This is on real hardware). This issue is on the KASLR and normal versions.
Versions I have tested other than 2024-08-05 that are also broken:
2024-08-04
2024-08-02
latest version that works:
2024-07-27

Have you tried booting with the ps2.nokbd kernel parameter to see if that makes a difference?
If one boots with this parameter then in linux the system will not attempt to initialize or use the ps/2 port. This can help figure out if its causing the fault. More specifically, one could run the thing virtualized... and it would work, perhaps. What do you think?
I don't know what a kernel parameter is, also the computer I was testing this on broke, so I am unable to try booting with the ps2.nokbd kernel parameter. I forgot to mention that I am running this on a laptop, sorry. I don't know if it would work, as I know nothing about operating system development.
