How to refer custom settings.xml from the build?

Sorry for raising an issue just to ask a question, but this is a very helpful example of the Concourse.ci pipeline and one important piece looks to be missing here.

Which exact path should I specify here

in order to pass my custom settings.xml to the maven build (e.g. with my Artifactory repo URL)?

I don't think that you can have access to the world outside of the java:8 docker container if you run the build as this project demonstrates.

One interesting way to solve this problem would be to check in the settings.xml into SCM system and reference it as a usual concourse.ci resource and input for the build task.
It then becomes accessible in the file system of the container where the build runs.
