Photon OS 5 and PostgreSQL 15 installation is not complete #1537
Comments
Hi @jakekn354 , Well, for security purposes, the Photon OS postgresql packages do not configure any default instance. In a very easy way, create an instance by specifying a local user, data directory, your postgres configuration and your /etc/systemd/system/postgresql.service file, see docs. Postgresql version migration is documented here. For remote configuration, monitoring, etc., have a look to pmd-nextgen overview. Keep in mind security hardening & database maintenance tasks, see vcsa example files. Hope this helps. |
Thanks. That explains, we will try manual configuration |
I'm working on it. |
This is done on Ph4 and above branches. Please close this issue. |
