Upgrade @vue/compiler-sfc to PostCSS 8 #2642
Comments
This has been a nuisance for me, since PCSS 8 came out. It would be really nice to have v8 running as default in vue, so one doesn't have to always take care which old PCSS plugin versions to install. Would be great to have this! |

For those waiting for official v8 support for the purpose of |
There is lot of people waiting for major support of PostCSS (beacuse of tailwindcss) |
What problem does this feature solve?
Now that Tailwind 2.0 is out, it would be nice to get
@vue/compiler-sfc
upgraded to PostCSS 8.All PostCSS 7 plugins are compatible with PostCSS 8, it's fully backwards compatible, so this probably isn't a huge effort.
This also affects all Vite users as Vite uses
@vue/compiler-sfc
for CSS processing: vitejs/vite#873What does the proposed API look like?
Bump PostCSS 7 to PostCSS 8.
