IETF has chartered a Grant Negotiation and Authorization Protocol (gnap) WG to develop a next-generated authorization protocol - the successor to OAuth. https://datatracker.ietf.org/group/gnap/about/

W3C needs to be tracking this work, particularly as it relates to login management work.
