Aaand here’s mine! I’m Thibaud, core contributor to Wagtail since 2018. I work at @torchbox, primarily on Wagtail but I also occasionally do consulting on other projects, and even coding sometimes! I primarily work on UI and in particular accessibility these days but also have experience with back-end dev in JS/PHP/Python. Outside of work, these days I spend most of my time with two little tornadoes that are 4 and 1 years old. Usually on a bike but sometimes on other modes of transportation:
For Google Summer of Code – I’m one of the Organization Administrators for Wagtail, and will also be mentoring one of the projects. I think programmes like GSoC have a very important place in open source, helping orgs like Wagtail to create a more diverse, richer community, and creating amazing opportunities for people to kickstart their careers. |

Hello everyone ,I am Divya dasari, a student from india. So shining a light on my skills and aims, I am proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C, Python,Django... I was currently going in the tunnel of Front-End Development Tools like Bootstrap, react understanding a few fundamentals in them, and was aiming to further upskill myself with Back-End abilities, like Django,mongoDB. This is why I decided to take up Wagtail to contribute and further improve and learn through it. This will be my first open source contributions, and I am very excited to learn new things . I am eager to LEARN and GROW. I firmly believe that GSOC and the Wagtail community will provide me with the incentive to grow every day, resulting in amazing outcomes. Collaborating with fellow contributors and mentors through GSOC would help me very much in these thing. Hoping to be a part of this awesome community. |

@thibaudcolas I prepared the small report on the topic mention for our research in project idea list of project Greener coding: Wagtail’s climate impact. I tried to collect more data but unfortunately I didn't get it from Drupal and WordPress community about their impact on climate. But by doing the research I get to know more about Green coding and also about CMS and there working, which is plus for me and maybe help me contribute in this project in a better way. link to project Wagtail It will be great help if you can give us some more brief about this project, so we can do further more research on this project and learn new tech if required to complete this project. Hello, I am Vallabh, a student form India. Using a tool to make a website and contributing to that tool itself which is used to make websites are totally different things. This is what excites me most about open source. Contributing to something which people actually use. I am very much excited and willing to be a part of GSOC with Wagtail. |

Welcome @vallabhtiwari! Indeed those are very different things 😛 Lots of organisations use Wagtail so contributing to it is a great way to make an impact. For GSoC, starting next week we will have a dedicated backlog of tasks to go through, so you will have a more gradual way to get up to speed with contributing than having to sort through the normal list of issues. |

Hi @thibaudcolas we would love to hear back from you about adding the similar idea of Dark Theme Project. I would like to share my experience with Figma as I used the tool in one of my graduate project and I individually like to experiment on Figma so I took up some challenging task of designing Airbnb booking module, Revolut's card screen on mobile app. |

My name is Harman Singh Malhotra, who was looking for opportunity through GSOC. So shining a light on my skills and aims, I am proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C++, Python... I'm Shubham Kapoor, currently a Full Stack developer and a Competitive Programmer, I'm in my final year of University in India and I've been programming for about 6 years now, Over the course of my Undergraduate Study, I've made multiple open source projects in domains like Web Development, Blockchain, and Deep Learning and I'm always eager to learn new tech stacks.
