Aaand here’s mine! I’m Thibaud, core contributor to Wagtail since 2018. I work at @torchbox, primarily on Wagtail but I also occasionally do consulting on other projects, and even coding sometimes! I primarily work on UI and in particular accessibility these days but also have experience with back-end dev in JS/PHP/Python. Outside of work, these days I spend most of my time with two little tornadoes that are 4 and 1 years old. Usually on a bike but sometimes on other modes of transportation: For Google Summer of Code – I’m one of the Organization Administrators for Wagtail, and will also be mentoring one of the projects. I think programmes like GSoC have a very important place in open source, helping orgs like Wagtail to create a more diverse, richer community, and creating amazing opportunities for people to kickstart their careers. |

Thank you 🛐Thibaud for giving us opportunities to introduce ourselves so we can become familiar to each other. Hello Everyone 🙏 Honestly this is my first time I am trying to do opensource contribution, as I am not aware about the opportunities that opensource can brings for you. I believe that GSOC 2023 would provide me with the best way to start my open-source contribution journey. I'm interested in starting my opensource journey with Wagtail because of the tech stack they work and I want to contribute to the project Dark theme for Wagtail admin. It will be a great pleasure for me to connect with you guys on Linkedin😀. |

Hello, I am Vallabh, a student form India. Using a tool to make a website and contributing to that tool itself which is used to make websites are totally different things. This is what excites me most about open source. Contributing to something which people actually use. I am very much excited and willing to be a part of GSOC with Wagtail. |

Hello everyone, My name is Vijay K V and I am a undergraduate student based in India. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in Google Summer of Code with Wagtail as a beginner open source contributor. As someone who is passionate about Python and JavaScript , I am excited to work on a project that can make a real impact in the open source community. I have been following the development of Wagtail for some time now and I believe that my skills and interests align well with the project's goals. In my free time, I enjoy Listening to Music and playing football and I am always looking for new challenges to tackle. I am particularly interested in GSoC because I know it is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in contributing to open source projects, collaborating with other developers, and building real-world solutions. I have done my research on GSoC and open source communities, and I am eager to learn more about how I can make a meaningful contribution to the Wagtail project. First and foremost, hello to everyone in sight. I'll begin with a personal introduction. I am a second-year undergraduate student from India who is eager to acquire new aspects and skills. My name is Harman Singh Malhotra, who was looking for opportunity through GSOC. So shining a light on my skills and aims, I am proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C++, Python... I was currently going in the tunnel of Front-End Development Tools like Bootstrap, React, Redux, understanding a few fundamentals in them, and was aiming to further upskill myself with Back-End abilities, like DJango. This is why I decided to take up Wagtail to contribute and further improve and learn through it. This will be my first open source contributions, and I am very excited to learn new things and brush up on what I currently know. I am eager to LEARN and GROW. I firmly believe that GSOC and the Wagtail community will provide me with the incentive to grow every day, resulting in amazing outcomes. "No-one knows everything, but one should constantly be driven to study further". I have done plenty of study as to what organization I should took part in and contribute, looking over what I can learn, what I can accomplish, and looked over the environment of the community. I'll do my best to demonstrate anything I can accomplish wherever I can. Mentioning about my interests, I am a Graphic Designer, and worked over numerous projects in Designing, I also Play Football on weekends. I would want to contribute to this community in any manner that I can. Thank you for stopping by, and going thorough my Introduction. I can't stop thinking about what all I can learn from here. being given such an opportunity, I'll aim further and reach my goals. @thibaudcolas , I would love to connect with you and ask a few query from my side here, here is my Linkedin ... |

Thank you, @thibaudcolas for this opportunity to introduce ourselves. Its the first step to connect with a community, so here goes... Hello fellow contributors, I was introduced to the world of Open-Source by one of my seniors who was selected in GSOC 2022. I also found out about Wagtail from him and decided to contribute to it. I'm new to Open-Souce and, I think that GSOC 2023 is a great opportunity for me to dive into this world of Open-Source. I'm interested in contributing to the project RFC 72: Background workers as it matches my skillset. It would be a great pleasure if I can connect with you guys on LinkedIn :) |
