Background

@richard-ramos mentioned that it is important to support Windows because the majority of Status Desktop users use windows and therefore the nwaku should be able to run in status-go.

Details

In the past we were able to build nwaku for Windows but that became outdated in favor of unix systems.
The Makefile seems to be partially adapted.
@rymnc confirmed that the RLN is not prepared to be built on Windows, and we will need to invest time on it.

Acceptance criteria

  • Local build can be achieved and a wakunode2 node can run on Windows 11 (we leave other versions for further iterations.)
  • Restore the Windows CI we had working in the past.

Nwaku first should be integrated into status-go before picking up this issue.

The following gives an idea of actual Win distribution (thanks @richard-ramos for that!)
