adding figures with .tex extension

I am trying to add figures which have been saved as .tex files in the image folder of the chapter. However, when I use the \input{figure.tex} i get an error saying the file was not found. Is there a way to sort this out

Make sure that the path to the file is correct. If you input this file in one of the chapter, you should use the file path chapters/<chatper-name>/<img-folder>/figure.tex.
