Hi @oknemixam, thank you for reporting and sorry for the issues here. This kind of issue typically happens when there are multiple instances of the app running; the installer can't replace files that are already in use. Could you try closing all Warp windows, then reopening a single window before clicking "Update Warp" again?

I am having this issue as well and all instances are closed. There is nothing named "warp" in task manager. Would it be using another process?

Hmm, is there an OpenConsole process running? Does terminating that process help?

No, that didn't help.

Hi @lucieleblanc no problem, I hope the guys will eventually fix it.

  1. Only 1 instance of the app is running [double checked this];
  2. If you close all Warp windows then, well... there's no way to launch the update process because everything is closed.. by definition and by nature of this process at least one instance of the Warp must be running;
  3. OpenConsole process is running, one per tab. If I'm killing this process - then the Warp itself is closing. So I guess at least one OpenConsole will be running anyway when one would launch an Update.

Hi all, thank you for the details. Are you running antivirus software? If so, do you see Warp or any terminal-related files/processes in the antivirus software's recent activity?

If you're able to, please send specifics to the team in the early tester Slack -- that will make it easier for the whole Warp on Windows team to read and respond.
